SPAWN OF POSSESSION Pull Out Of SKINLESS Tour

July 5, 2006

Swedish technical death metal outfit SPAWN OF POSSESSION has cancelled its previously announced tour with SKINLESS as well as it appearance at the Mountains of Death Open Air VI festival, set to take place August 18-19 in Muothathal, Switzerland. The band's statement on the matter reads as follows:

"This August tour with SKINLESS has been more or less confirmed for some time now and we were all very excited to participate on this field trip. After returning from a European tour with HATE ETERNAL we became aware of some family matters, regarding two of our fellow band members, that need immediate and full attention. At this time we can't get into what exactly happened but the matters are serious enough to not be able to function as a complete unit at this point. First of all these matters made band practice impossible, but moreover two of our people need to stay close to their families for an, as of yet, undetermined period. We all hope this changes as soon as possible so we can get out and start promoting our new album, 'Noctambulant', the way we should.

"We in SPAWN OF POSSESSION would like to send out our sincere apologies to everyone involved in making this trip possible for us including promotors, venues, festivals, the agency and SKINLESS. We feel terrible that we have to back out from this opportunity at this late hour but unfortunately we have no choice. We understand that there has been a lot of work and planning to fit us in and for that we are deeply sorry. We hope that we can work together again in the future when we have our shit back in order."

SPAWN OF POSSESSION's sophomore album, "Noctambulant", has just been released via Neurotic Records. The CD was recorded at Pama Studios in Kristianopel, Sweden with producer Magnus Sedenberg.
